Gregory K. Lemite, MD

Dr. Gregory K. Lemite earned his medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY in May 1992. His residency was completed at Montefiore Medical Center, Bronx, NY, June 1995. Dr. Lemite completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Elmhurst City Hospital of the Mount Sinai Services, Elmhurst, NY.  He has served the Tri-Cities community for more than 15 years. He founded Tri-Cities Gastroenterology P.C. in November of 2003. 

Dr. Lemite evaluates and treats a variety of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. His special interests include colon cancer screening and prevention, inflammatory bowel disease, chronic hepatitis C, disorders of the esophagus, and illness of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract.

Dr. Lemite performs the majority of his  endoscopic procedures at our endoscopy center in Chester Virginia. We are 1 of only 28 Office Based endoscopy centers in Virginia that maintain accreditation through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

Amanda Baker is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the Virginia Board of Nursing. She earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing degree through South University in 2022 and is certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner’s Certification Board. 

The start of Ms. Baker's career at Tri-Cities Gastroenterology is somewhat unique as she began as a medical assistant student in 2011. As she has advanced her education, she has remained with the practice in a variety of positions. She continues involvement in the practices credentialing process through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Healthcare. Additionally, she also has experience as an endoscopy nurse at John Randolph Medical Center located in Hopewell, VA from 2019 to 2022. She has a specialized interest in gastroenterology where she promotes  preventative care (colorectal cancer screening) as well as evaluation and treatment of a number of other gastrointestinal and liver conditions. She works closely with Dr. Gregory Lemite, the owner of the practice, who has continually inspired and supported her education and career advancements. 

Amanda is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, she has also lived in Kansas, Georgia and Quebec. She now resides in Richmond, Virginia where she enjoys spending time with her family.
