Tri-Cities Gastroenterology is accredited by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Ambulatory Care Centers (ACS) are only able to complete procedures on patients that are deemed low risk. This generally means patients are healthier than patients requiring procedures in a hospital setting.

All patients and staff are currently being screened for signs and symptoms of Coronavirus.
All drivers for procedure patients are being asked to wait in the car for their friend/family member.
High level disinfectants and healthcare grade cleaning products continue to be utilized for sanitation purposes in accordance with CDC guidelines.
In order to reduce risk and stop the spread of Coronavirus, all patients undergoing procedures will be screened for Coronavirus. Patients undergoing certain procedures may be required to undergo testing for Coronavirus or proof of vaccination.

As of March 25, 2020 Governor Ralph Northam signed an executive order prohibiting elective procedures. Failure to comply will result in a Class I Misdemeanor. This order was extended and expired May 1, 2020. As of May 4, 2020 the practice has resumed elective procedures with social distancing guidelines in place.
